Hemmings Motor News Blog

Hemmings Motor News has been around since 1954. We're proud of our heritage, but we're also more than the Hemmings full of classifieds that your father subscribed to. Aside from new editorial content every month in Hemmings, we have three monthly magazines: Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic Car and Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car.

While our editors traverse the country to find the best content for those magazines, we find other oddities related to the old-car hobby that we really had no place for - until now. With this blog, we're giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what we see and what we do during the course of putting out some of the finest automotive magazines you'll ever read.

The Muscle Car Interior Restoration Guide Giveaway Contest

Posted October 19, 2009 10:00 AM by dstrohl

So as the author of the recently released Muscle Car Interior Restoration Guide, I was provided with a number of comp copies to hand out as I please. After taking care of the family and all the people who helped me with putting the book together, I've got one extra copy left.

That means it's time for a giveaway contest! Except I ain't just gonna give it away. No, I want it to go to somebody who deserves it - somebody with a really ratty interior in their classic or collector car.

Soheresthedeal: If you have an interior that needs restoration, get out there and take a picture showing us just how bad your interior really is, then get the picture to me.

You can use the email address on the Contact Us page, you can send it to me via Twitter (@danielstrohl), you can even add the photo to My Hemmings or the Hemmings Nation Flickr pool (if you choose one of the latter, make sure to leave a comment here with a link to the photo).

The owner of the interior in most need of restoration, as judged by me, will win the book. Rules: I'll want to see some proof the interior actually belongs to you, and make sure to get your photo or a link to the photo to me by noon on Friday, October 23. The interior doesn't even have to belong to a muscle car - the book applies to many classic and collectible vehicles, so the contest will too.

If you don't win, don't worry: You can still buy the Muscle Car Interior Restoration Guide from your local bookstore or directly from CarTech Books.
