Harvard Developing Colony Of Robot Bees

Posted October 22, 2009 8:56 AM

From OhGizmo!:

I guess the bee crisis is worse than it seems, because the National Science Foundation is giving Harvard a cool $10 million to develop a robot bee colony. That's right, not just one, but an entire colony of robot bees. The bees will buzz around on flapping wings, use optical flow sensors for navigation and obstacle avoidance, sport cute little antennae as well as "pollination and docking appendages," and use an as yet unspecified power source…

Or we could just spend some money on figuring out how to stop the original bees from dying.

Instead of stinging, each angry bee will hack into your bank account and withdraw $10 one time only.

The Africanized "killer bee" versions, being more agressive in nature, will collectively spend the stolen money on various TV infomercial products. Thus perpetuating the ads and doubling your suffering.

Oh Boy! That hurt, definetlyAAAUUUOOOUUHHhhmmmmnnn! Deeaammnn... Strong sting absolutetly. Gossshh!! Now the beeess will mean business if they can go to the bank and get some dollars on the fly, wwaaoouuh!!! Imagine that, better not to find out. I don't know, but how are they going to suction the nectar out? I guess this will be possible if they going allset in vacuum or by having an operating microscopic vacuum pump on board with a miniature holding tank in order to transport the load and deliver couples miles away into the collector depot, hey, who know's? It'll be possible I Guess... with so much technology all over no doubth...Sounds nice just don't bring it to the bank yet untill further testing conducted. HeHAAHIIIHEEAiiihhh! Oh Brotheerrrrrrr.........You guys are fun to the bone. See, I knew you can do it. Awesome...
