NYU Professor's Body Rejects His Implanted Head-Cam

Posted February 09, 2011 11:44 AM

From Popular Science - New Technology, Science News, The Future Now:

All artists face rejection at some point in their careers, and Wafaa Bilal-the NYU professor and artist who had a camera implanted in the back of his head in December-is no exception. Bilal underwent surgery on Friday to have part of the camera apparatus removed after his body rejected one of three titanium posts implanted in his head. Until he can figure out a different configuration (and until his wound heals) Bilal is continuing his project by tying the camera to the back of his neck.

Or, did the camera reject the professor?

Now, that's a smart cam.

He would have been better off to do like my ex-brother-in-law (sister's husband) did. Soon after she divorced his sorry assm, he shaved his head and had eyes tattooed on the back of his head! Unless he doesn't shave his head, he can always see behind him. No rejection, no problem! Does that equal hindsight? Didn't think so.

Did he walk around with a viewing screen in front of him to see where he has been? Short memory? Couldn't find his way back?
