Portable Healthcare IT - Security Issue?

As IT becomes more useful and more pervasive in healthcare facilities and among clinical staff, it is also becoming more portable and mobile. Access to some EMR databases is already possible via tablets and smart phones. You can take steps to secure IT systems from hackers, but how do you combat careless use of portable devices - leaving them unattended in a public place or forgetting them at the coffee shop checkout? Does your institution's IT policy need to be revamped in order to cover these possibilities?
