It's where we will all be lined up on 21 December 2012 praying to the Gods of the Mayans to prevent the end of the world as we know it.

It's an old open cast mine probably in Australia.

It's what our tour guide called a "marble factory". It's a mountain in Italy somewhere between Pisa and Florence. I couldn't figure out exactly which one, but you can read about Carrara, Italy, which seems to have the same type of marble. (This photo was not taken in Carrara, which is north of Pisa.)

There is so much marble, new and old, in Italy. They use it quite often in building because it's readily available.
