THANKS for that info - tip - off about mishmash integration of security and other electronics into head (stereo) units.
Now I have another fine question to ask when I start searching for my next car.
I would not pay good money for such an 'integrated-electronics-package' car any more than I would pay Whirlpool / GE / Kenmore or ANY OTHER appliance manufacturer for a refridgerator that had a toaster and a waffle-maker built into the doors.
