"Black holes get hotter as they shrink", well they would, because as they shrink all the matter inside a black hole is at x temperature, and when they shrink the same amount of matter has to fit into a smaller dia black hole, which to me is qite normal!!!

"Black holes are full of puzzles..." The biggest puzzle is why anyone believes in them! If we started by looking at the evidence from space and laboratories we would never have invented them. Rosetta Stone NO, millstone around the necks of physicists YES.
What distinguishes a star, galaxy or quasar, etc? ANSWER its electromagnetic signature. We can't optically see the latest batch of galaxies (+ 'blackholes') but we can radio-sense them. A wideband of UV, X-ray, IR and radio radiation is all we really know about these phenomena. On planet Earth this is lumped under em noise/ interference. The bain of communications and electrical engineers but the lifeblood of astrophysics radio telescopes.
We all know that em noise is generated by sparks, arcs, flashes and discharges. So do you go looking for 'black holes' to remove noise? Not unless you're Einstein. Rather you are looking for a source of ionisation (plasma) which is 99% of the time ELECTRICAL.
I don't think gravity or maths got a mention there, so it will never make the textbooks!
