As Johny 5 might say "Looks like, maybe is.......... mechano!!!"

Therefore it could be anything, only limited by our imagination.

Can you still get that stuff?

It looks like an Erector Set configured to work as an erector set. Batteries not included.

(Except for that one device you guys made out of that thing that fell out of the sky that one night.)

Ooooops!

Didn't hit Randall's link... should have, because he has it correct. Sorry buddy.

I also hadn't hit the GA, but I will correct that shortcoming right now. Good find!

[edit] I missed pretty much ALL of the links in this one, looks like I was reading the posts from last to first! SE in #17 also has it correct... Another GA vote cast for a correct find and post.

It's a FH5DXMCGZACINAK.LARGE_73E97C65-DAB9-6EFC-A42D80A907195635.

Looks just like other ones I've seen, only they were red.

Depending on the device & the browser, links (particularly using e.g. a small-screen smartphone and with single-word, letter or punctuation mark links) can be a devil to spot.

That's my excuse, anyway .

Profuse apologies, I completely missed your link ..... You did it again, there aught to be some sort of prize for identifying 'n' (What is it)'s.........perhaps being beaten severely with a velvet glove..... I don't know, or perhaps being required to devulge your techniques for achieving such an overwhelming success rate?

There is a serious side to that last suggestion ..... I am sure that we could all learn from you about searching the internet successfully for that elusive piece of information we need for our next (or current)project

Perhaps a guide to searching, how to choose the best search criteria/phrases, etc

The tools/search engines you use to best effect, etc
