Re: This Simple Blood Test Reveals Birth Defects — And the Future of Pregnancy

Oh sure, the article said the procedure to take care of the problem pregnancy is easy and simple. What a load of crap! How easy is it for the unborn child who is already responding to stimuli. Sure, it may have some "deficiencies" so let's just suck it out with a vacuum, or cut it up and pull out the parts.
The assumption is being made that the tests are 100% accurate, which may or may not be the case. The decision is a selfish one in that if it isn't "easy and convenient" for the parents that the life of the child be taken against it's will. How much of the rest of their lives do they treat that way? If the marriage gets tough, do they just pull the plug on that too? If the going gets a little tough in life do they just pull the trigger of a gun and "solve" that problem as well?
Abortion takes the life of an innocent child and it also makes man the final arbiter of a life and the quality of that life. We've had a two couples at church who found out there were severe problems with their preborn children and they decided it wasn't up to them to kill the children. In both instances the babies were carried to term, born and the parents got to nurture them for a short period of time before they died.
