Said the salesman to the prospective buyers from out-of-state,

''Yes, and as an added feature, at no additional cost, you can back your boat trailer up the left-hand ramp while your passengers walk up the convenient right hand ramp at the same time... just like the local folks do all the time...''

Anonymous Poster #1 asking serious question on CR4.......

Hello everyone.

We had problem transporting long house across bridge, bridge collapsed but house sitting there fine.

Question is can we put holes in either end of the house and use as a bridge? If not, how can we strengthen house so we can use as bridge.

Urgent, please answer ASAP!

Frank Lloyd Wright tried and failed many times, take his one of his early failures of 'House on the Rock' for instance.

Homeowner; Did you contact a structural engineer to make sure the bridge is safe to carry the full weight of the house?

Moving company; Well we asked some guys that hang around on an engineering website for their opinions.

Homeowner; And what did they say?

Moving company; We asked three times and all three times they did not give us the answer we wanted until the third time where this one guy said he had drive lots of things over lots of bridges so as far as he knew this would probably maybe work just fine.

Homeowner; ............

just out of curiosity , what would a house like that weigh ?

The trailer itself could be 3 - 5 tonnes

just wondering what size crane they would need to rescue it

" before the guy that owns the bridge comes back"

-

-

In reality i bet the truck driver refused to go over it without waiving liability

Look. This is great. We put the bathrooms in the back of the house, and the water pump suction pipe upstream, on the front side of the house, and we're all set.

No water AND no sewer payments!

Open up the end and we've got the garage.

Now, we need a porch.

Dear Plumber, when I said I want water running in the house and put the pipe under the it, I did not mean to have the water running under the house like this - And by the way where is the pipe?

Homeowner: This is covered under my home owner's insurance policy, right?

Insurance Adjuster: Ummm. Probably not, unless you have a bridge rider on that policy? Ummm. I see you don't have a bridge rider. So, the cost to fix the bridge can't be included in your deductable. The house appears to be undamged. Any claims will be denied.
