Testbed Demos Time Sensitive Wireless Networks

A broad swath of industrial automation firms have co-developed the first testbed aimed at demonstrating reliable functionality of wireless Ethernet control technology for Industrial Internet of Things applications. The Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) says testbeds permit innovations to be initiated and "rigorously tested to ascertain their usefulness and viability before coming to market." This eleventh IIC testbed, the Time-Sensitive Networking testbed, will demonstrate real-time capability, vendor interoperability, and the ability to combine different critical control traffic on a single, resilient wireless network.
