Improve IoT Performance in Remote Locations

What do you do with the terabytes of data collected daily from sensors in your remote systems? IBM and Cisco Systems are teaming up to provide an answer. Cisco® Fog Data Services software performs streaming analytics on the data at the source location, converting it into useful information. Machine performance parameters such as vibration and temperature, for example, can then be accessed in real time via Cisco routers and other "edge devices." The cognitive and business capability of IBM's Watson IoT platform will be embedded into the Cisco devices to analyze, coordinate, and oversee operations.
