It must be called the "Ugly Shack"!

My old school building looked better than that!

I hope this is a public building so nobody feels bad about it.

There is a slight chance it looks and feels nicer from the inside if this is wood fire chimney sticking out there on the top.

That's funny because the new elementary school (Plymouth River Elementary School) I went to in 1969 had the same type of architecture as well as the 'new' library (Hingham Public Library) that was built in 1966. I know this isn't either of those but I'll bet the construction was about the same time frame.

The correct quote is, "Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades and is not a requirement in nuclear warheads"!

(At least that is how I wrote it 40+ years ago).

Underfunded? Why that's a 18.6 million dollar leed certified outhouse.

.. It's sinks use gravity filtered waste from the urinals in the vaulted portion.

Why that's a 18.6 million dollar leed certified outhouse

And it started out as a $12,500.00 entrance gate house to the park.

This is really annoying: if you do a search for "architecture house with mono pitched roof", you get some quite close fits like this

But if you try to add just a little modifier: "architecture house with mono pitched roof and rectangular conservatory", all you get is pictures of conservatories; all sorts of shapes.

By the way Maggie, is that a conservatory on the end or just a covered area?

So the question is, are we to believe that roof is supported on two adjacent sides by frameless glass panels?

Or, are the vertical lines metal poles supporting the carport roof....with no glass between?

Or is that roof cantilevered and those are minimally framed giant screen panels?

Or?

If by "the end" you mean the portion on the left, then it is a covered area. To respond to truth is not a compromise, they are incredibly spindly looking posts supporting the roof—no glass involved.

The clubhouse at Gaines County Golf Course, Texas. OR

The clubhouse at Yoakum County Golf Course, Texas OR

The Yoakum County Park community building, Texas (rented for family reunions).

Or any one of a dozen other buildings designed by Raymond Buhman during his career.

It also has the same lines (essentially) as the Stewart Family Farm, Yoakum Co. TX, barn and chicken house had. Those buildings were destroyed years ago.

While there were some good guesses, no one discovered the identity of this week’s building: The Upcycle House by Lendager Arkitekter. The house is built of “processed recycled materials.” The loadbearing structure is made up of two prefab shipping containers and the kitchen floor is tiled in champagne cork-leftovers.

According to the architect, the upcycle house is “an experimental project, aimed at exposing potential carbon emission reductions… In the case of Upcycle House, the reduction has been 86% compared to a benchmark house."

The architects elaborated on the idea of recycling building materials in an exhibit they curated for the Danish Architecture Center (DAC) in Copenhagen: Wasteland – from waste to architecture. You can read more about that in my blog post on the subject.

Reminds of this C&W song:

"My grand pappy rolled his trailer house down on two logs.".

If you play it backwards, you get the sprawling ranch house in Lubbock, TX.
