Invasion of the LED Backlights

Price is the hurdle for LED backlights, but at smaller screen sizes, LEDs are doing great. Nearly 100% of 10-inch-and-smaller LCD panels use LED backlights, claim DigiTimes reporters Susie Pan and Emily Chuang. Small panels use few LEDs, which narrows the price difference between LEDs and cold cathode fluorescent lamps.
