Those roof lines look very odd, seems at fist glance some wooden boards, but then it could be fake and its some sort of sheeting. It is a house made to look like a barn in the Prairie but is rather a sturdy possibly concrete/recycled material house of some sort.

Somebodies dream house?

At least it is not the bottom story of a two story out-house.

I think I saw a restroom like this in a State Park near a lake in Oklahoma once.

I meant like the sketch above, not a two-story outhouse.

Solar Eagle wasn’t far off this week. Simply named “the Barn,” this “writer’s retreat,” designed by Antonin Ziegler, was a barn prior to its transformation into a living space. The structure was built on the framework of the ruins of the old barn, which can be seen beneath the windows and inside. Now the retreat features zinc cladding intended to develop a patina over time, which the architect hoped would add to the ruin-like image of the monolithic structure. In fact the architect describes, another “lone crack that pierces the roof and walls thus giv[ing] the project the appearance of a contemporary ruin.”
