As ozzb and BestInShow guessed this week, you’re looking at Agios Stefanos Monastery, or St. Stephen’s Monastery in Meteora, Greece. According to the travel page for Meteora, monastic life on “the rock of Agios Stephanos” began in the twelfth century, while the monastery itself was built in the first half of the fifteenth century and has been renovated frequently since.

While it may not necessarily look it, this is evidently the most accessible monastery, as the small bridge allows access without a multitude of steps.

So was the icon painting on the interior of the dome used in the final scene of Bram Stoker's Dracula?

One other point Meteora is near a river supposedly that comes out of the earth, possibly related to the mythical river Styx, and that supposedly is a good habitat for a bacterial species that produces a very strong toxic reaction, produces symptoms very much like those reported in the death of Alexander the Great. Coincidence? I don't think so. "He who quenches his thirst from the river Styx will soon pay his own passage."
