This probably wouldn't be hard to find if over half the pictures of castle like buildings were not from the game Minecraft.

Damn you Bill Gates... (yes I know Microsoft did not start the game, but they did buy the company and all intellectual rights to the game in 2014).

Yes they should have a real search engine for real world and another one for gamers fiction and fantasy stuff...it is starting to be a problem...maybe an exclude fantasy & fiction button...I mean we should teach AI the difference before we run into a situation like "WarGames"...Should have a BS filter option too...Website truth-o-meter?

That thought is almost crazier than me wanting to ride out a hurricane.

Meaning, it's not going to happen......

But crenellations don't usually go with windows.

Maggie, are those really large 3 by 4 panels of windows?

Well, I see a prominently displayed Red Dragon as an avatar so it does leave me to wonder if they require a battlement license in that part of the world.

Yes, but somehow the hairy legs would not show well in the typical librarian dress.

Yes, this is a relatively poor attempt at humor.

The view in the image above is from the lower garden of Haddon Hall, as Solar Eagle suggested. On its site—where you can view a virtual tour of the building—Haddon Hall is described as “probably the finest example of a fortified medieval manor house in existence.”

“Present-day Haddon Hall dates from the 12th Century to the early 17th Century, whereupon it lay dormant for over two hundred years from 1700 until the 1920s, when the 9th Duke and Duchess of Rutland restored the house and gardens.”

The hall is located on a sloping site and is designed to house two interior courtyards. Many of the rooms can only be reached from outside or by passing through other rooms.

Haddon Hall has been featured in numerous literary and cinematic works, notably an 1823 novel, the King of the Peak – A Romance, the 1987 Princess Bride, a 1990 BBC adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ The Silver Chair, and the 2005 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice. A complete list can (unsurprisingly) be found on Wikipedia.
