Seasonal Cellphone Shortage Cited

Posted October 09, 2007 8:42 AM

A shortage of cell phones for Q4 of 2008 is rumored to be caused by a shortage of LCD screens. The GSM market, operating in the 1.9 GHz band in the U.S., is especially hard hit. The apparent shortage is in the millions of units, and may help slow RAZR2 sales.

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Display Technologies, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Display Technologies today.
