Aluminum Makes Its Case

Posted November 20, 2007 6:00 AM

Smaller medical and environmental-monitoring microelectronics need protection both in labs and out in the field. Lightweight aluminum casings preserve the portability of these devices while offering metal case protection. And because the metal allows heat dissipation without ventilation openings, protection from the environment and from EMI sources is enhanced. How do you protect sensitive microelectronics?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Metals & Alloys, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Metals & Alloys today.
