Monitoring Motor Performance

Posted November 21, 2007 6:00 AM

The U.S. Department of Energy, as part of its Motor Challenge Program, has encouraged manufacturers to increase the use of energy efficient AC motors in their plants. It has always been possible to acquire extensive amounts of data from motors as they perform on test stands, but it is expensive and time consuming to remove them from service. A more direct measure of motor efficiency is provided by this Explorer II motor analysis system, which is designed to be connected with the motor while it is in operation to provide comprehensive assessments of motor efficiency and integrity. Does on-line motor analysis matter to you?
