Consumers Crave Cotton

Consumer demand is fueling growth for organic cotton. The global market is expected to triple by next year, and to jump from one billion dollars last year to seven billion by 2010. Apparel represented the largest portion of organic cotton sales last year, which includes home and personal care products. Accordingly, several companies have expanded their organic cotton product offerings. Using organic cotton provides many advantages to our planet — such as eliminating harmful pesticides and fertilizers, reducing water consumption, and preserving wildlife.
