What Value for a Prize

The hype from CES is dying down, but the hype for SID in May has barely begun. The CES awards are being trumpeted even as the Society for Information Display solicits its Awards applications. Awards like these are serious business. But do they make a difference to users? Would you be more likely to invest in a display because it won an industry award, or are you more interested in the spec sheet?
