Here is how I see the breakdown, of an organizational structure & the geographical coverage for each section [department]. Feel free to modify, rename, reorder or do something completely different.
Administration- basic management and coordination of all the area's - worldwide
Support- gathering and dissemination of information from end-users - regional
Research-design and testing of equipment, methods, total system integration - worldwide & regional
Implementation- construction and deployment of modules or total systems - regional
The four area's are of course interrelated and overlapping. Administration being the smallest department and made up of key personnel from the other three. Support would be the buffer between the public/end-users and the research/implementation departments.
