Super Bowl commercials often blur the lines between fantasy and reality, but we got an interesting press release from our friends at NTS about the Ford F150 commercial - it was filmed at their Santa Clarita, CA facility.

I have to say that my '97 F-350 and the '04 F-350 that I had have both done their fair share of grunt work. I've overloaded them and done things with them that I never thought the manufacturer actually envisioned...I believe I have now been proven wrong, they did envision some pretty gnarly stuff.

Impressive, but the scientific method compels me to wish for a comparison test of other comparable trucks to see whether ALL pickups perform this way... OK, so call me a skeptic - I flourish under compliments!

The UKs Top Gear programme tried all sorts of ways to destroy a Toyota Hilux pick-up, including parking it on the roof of a tall building & demolishing the building (near the start of pt. 2). These trucks seem almost indestructible. You can see the video part 1 & part 2.
