Quality Seminars Targeted for China

Posted February 09, 2008 8:05 AM

The top QA association — the American Society for Quality — is tackling China's quality challenges firsthand with a series of seminars this year in major cities throughout China, reports Manufacturing Business Technology. Randall Gooden, chair of ASQ's Product Safety & Liability Prevention Interest Group, is conducting the seminars, which stress the connection between systematic quality practice and avoiding product liability. Meanwhile, U.S. toymakers at their annual fair in January, vowed to step up quality control campaigns at Chinese facilities. Does more need to be done? Is your industry affected?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Quality Control, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Quality Control today.

Thats right ASQ, giving away for a sheckel the efforts that many spent years to develop to use in the US market for QC. Love the "American" part of ASQ; fits about right, shoot yourself and American industry in the foot.

They're probably getting some free electronic gizmos or lead-based painted toys, for their efforts.

Kind Regards....
