PM Pumps Electric Vehicle Drives

An alloy of neodymium, yttrium, and dysprosium developed by Ames Lab (Iowa) investigators promises improved high temperature (392F/200C) electric motor performance. The goal is use in electric and hybrid cars. The material's properties allow fabrication by powder injection molding; ideal for high production volumes and lower fabrication costs. Where else could this PM cocktail offer advantages?
