It's easy to claim that finer resolution and more compact screens are
progress. But I have to wonder: at what point is it less useful? Our population
is aging, our collective eyes are aging, and the beautiful high resolution on
tiny screens is being wasted on vision that just can't see it. Should we be
focusing on bigger screens? Do small and fine displays work best for you? If
not, what sort of displays would be most useful to you? A microprojector on your
phone? A scrollable, flexible display?
