Infor’s Going Green Resource Machine

Infor's "Going Green Resource Machine", as funny as it sounds, is meant to provide you with resources, tools, videos, papers, and all sorts of other resources to help you and your organization move towards going green.

You may have heard, "green is the new black", so everyone wants to "go green", but exactly how to do so is the challenge. No worries – that's why we're here.

Our experts will be providing articles, blogs, and other resources to help your organization move towards lean, reach environmental benchmarks, and accomplish more with less. We've helped a lot of companies achieve just that, and have a wealth of resources that we can share to help you do the same. Obviously, we hope that when the need arises, you'll think of us. But in the meantime, count on us for our expertise along the way.

So why is a software company blogging on CR4?

Posted November 21, 2008 1:36 PM by Chris Kelley

Infor is the world's third largest business software company. Our goal: To provide the best possible software experience and lower total of ownership for our customers. We know that customers don't buy technology for the sake of technology; they buy it to enable the business. So, we'd like to create a conversation that is lively, timely and useful to you.

But in the meantime, we will continue to bring you white papers, videos, assessment tools, and other things you can use to make your lives easier, so please come back to our blog often to see what new tools we've added for you, helping you continue to improve your organization.

Sincerely,

Chris Kelly & the Infor Team

The Infor Green Assessment Tool – How Green is Your Company? (GlobalSpec User Access Only, log-in required).

The Infor Green Assessment provides subjective analysis and benchmarking of your company's sustainability efforts compared to other businesses, and offers tools and information to improve your Green capabilities. The Infor Green Assessment consists of two company-profile questions and 20 easy-to-answer questions distributed within four quadrants:

A. Global Asset Sustainability

B. Supply Chain

C.Product/Service Development

D.Organizational Readiness

The Infor Green Assessment will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Upon completing the assessment, your Green benchmark will appear as a radar chart showing the current sustainability status of your organization compared to the average scores of other organizations that have participated.

And this:

Did you know that Harley Davidson returned from the brink of near-bankruptcy to become the company you know today? It started with a focus on better manufacturing practices and lean – you know, the things you're being pressured to do too – and ended up with their President & COO James McCaslin presenting their story at the 2008 IW Best Plants Conference.

Mr. McCaslin takes you through the whole story in this video, with some great perks for Harley fans in there too. Click here for breakdown of what is in the video, and here to proceed directly to the video.
