Recently, while searching for
photos of antique aircraft, I came across a Web site devoted to models of them.
Because I know there are several remote control (RC) flyers in EAA Chapter 320,
I looked a bit deeper. This Web site provides access to quite a number of
plans, all of which are free and downloadable. Most seem to be from a gentleman
named William Schwartz.
Not only are there plans, but
there are also drawings of model engines old and new, links, how-to's,
three-view sketches, airfoil generators, and more. This is a resource that is
well worth exploring. At least one of the how-to tips would work every bit as
well for full-size aircraft as for model airplanes.
