Get In On the Sustainability Pact

Posted January 10, 2009 8:15 AM

Like it or not, sustainability and eco-friendly materials are design features more apt to keep a business afloat in this economy. The whole "green" genre, however, does have its stigmas and assumptions, such as the expectation that it costs a lot more to run a green business than a traditional one.

By agreeing to the Designers Accord, businesses agree to aim for sustainable product design. The promise opens doors to the 140,000 other people in 100 countries who also aim to lower their carbon footprint and develop an efficient product lifecycle. The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Plastics Fabrication, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Plastics Fabrication today.
