A Sonic Path to Whiter Teeth

Posted February 17, 2009 8:19 AM

A couple of years ago, I traded up from the manual toothbrush to a "power brush." Psychologically, the switch improved my oral confidence and social life. But renewed uncertainty has me smiling a little less — they say an ultrasonic model, based on a piezoceramic transducer, is the better path to whiter teeth and fewer cavities. Can anyone confirm?

I didn't even know that I had "oral confidence" or that it could be improved.

sounds great, went to their website, they are another victim of our economy, and have ceased operations.

Or, they went out of business because they put out a crappy product. I've only had my Ultreo toothbrush for less than a year and it doesn't work any longer. Paid about $80 for it. What a ripoff.

it may be wash tooth machine, not toothbrush.

to 3#

electric tooth brusch is invented by an american brother who soold their patient to PnG co. I was told its about 5usa/unit in place of their old type of 50usd.

I think its simple, just like toy with a aa battery supply a 1.2v motor.

I had an Oral B Sonic Complete for a while. When new it did a marvelous job, however over the span of 1 year it gradually lost its function. It seems that the transmitting link between the transducer and bristles lost its effectiveness rendering the toothbrush as useful as the manual version.

I replaced it with an Oral B Triumph mechanical brush and it's much better. It's about 2 years old and going just as strong as when new. If you don't floss a power brush is great since it dislodges stuff a regular brush can't reach.

Also, I'm pretty sure no toothbrush will whiten teeth. I'd think they would slow down yellowing and reduce cavities by removing plaque and contaminants. But if your a coffee drinker and/or smoker, yellow teeth are inevitable.

It depends on how you brushed your teeth with a standart tooth brush and how you brush with the ultrasonic one. It may happen that you were very good at brushing your teeth manually and now you compromise your hygiene with ultrasonic tooth brush. This should be evaluated by your dentist. Dentist

The best oral care on Earth till date.A neem tree(Azadarichta Indica) twig. You have to chew it with all your tooth(although utterly bitter),and rub all sides of your tooth for 10 min.Notice the difference then.It works perfectly!.
