Is China a Savior?

Posted March 16, 2009 7:21 AM

Amid the economic gloom, China is using its big cash reserves to invest in itself. It is spending 15% of its GDP to develop itself as a consumer-oriented society. Percentage-wise, that's three times as much as the U.S. is spending in its own economic stimulus package. But is a stronger China good for the rest of the world? Will it increase the competitiveness of this vast economy, or restrict competitive opportunity globally?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Motors, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Motors today.

A savior? Hell, any country with unlimited slave labor can do what China has done, flood the world with cheap poorly made junk. That is not saving the world, that is stealing from the world on the backs of an oppressed labor force.

Not only is China investing in itself (a safe way to self sustain it's cash cow economic progression) it is promoting a change in the worldwide currency standard from the Dollar to another yet undisclosed worldwide currency along with Russia and others in order to bring the final stockade to the US and the West (Europe) in general. Saviour? More like Profiteers...
