Prototyping for the People

Posted March 19, 2009 7:26 AM

Suppose you've got the idea for a new plastic part design. Conventional wisdom dictates the need for a third-party manufacturer to step in to create the prototype. Remove that traditional practice and you've got London's rapid prototyping and digital manufacturing facility. The site gives users a place to manufacture in plastic or metal on a "pay-and-go" basis.

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Plastics Fabrication, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Plastics Fabrication today.

Like the rest of us on this site. Why pay for someone to do your work when you can do it yourself.
