Losing Your Job?

What can technical and engineering pros, who fear losing their jobs in the economic downturn, do to survive? Go into nontechnical fields, suggests Ellen Policastro of ISA. It may seem counterintuitive, but now matter what you think of them, going into politics or banking could be a boost for your career. These are areas where big decisions have to be made on technical grounds, and they are desperate for technology people to consult with them. Does this sound like a sound transition?
