Hemmings Motor News Blog

Hemmings Motor News has been around since 1954. We're proud of our heritage, but we're also more than the Hemmings full of classifieds that your father subscribed to. Aside from new editorial content every month in Hemmings, we have three monthly magazines: Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic Car and Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car.

While our editors traverse the country to find the best content for those magazines, we find other oddities related to the old-car hobby that we really had no place for - until now. With this blog, we're giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what we see and what we do during the course of putting out some of the finest automotive magazines you'll ever read.

Road Trip: The First Hemmings Cruise-In of 2009

Posted June 19, 2009 12:01 AM by dstrohl

Our luck with cruise-ins so far this year has not registered on the positive side. We canceled the first two under threats of rain and thunderstorms, and it almost looked like we'd have to cancel last night's cruise-in, but we figured there had to be a few diehards who couldn't wait another two weeks, and plenty of them showed up.

Look for full coverage of our cruise-ins in upcoming issues of Hemmings Motor News, and check out the schedule for the remaining cruise-ins of the year at the Hemmings World HQ here in Bennington, Vermont.

There's your problem, you are doing it in Vermont.

Bring it to Houston, we've had a month of no rain, and there is no rain forcast for a MINIMUM of another week. Of course it has been 98 degrees every day for two weeks straight too....
