Pump Up the Power

Spain's experience-where 2.2 jobs were lost for every "green job" created — makes us wonder: What will alternative energy do to the pump industry? Pumps are used in wind power to lubricate the turbines, and in solar cell systems to move fluids around, but will this create green jobs for pump specialists? Will it sell a lot of pumps? Do you think building wind and solar power plants will benefit the pump industry?
