Had an interest in radio's since age 7, built an AM radio when I was about 10 and got seriously into electronics. Dare I say I was a CB radio operator all through my teens, it was more the technical aspect rather than playing music or "keying over" other users that interested me. Then in 1994 myself and my technical buddy Chain decided to go for the Amateur B license which we obtained without any effort, from then my main usage was Packet radio on 2 Meters and 70cm (before the internet) and discussions of a technical nature with fellow operators. Dabbled a little in antenna design, SSB, HF and PMR conversion, now I only have a 2M Yaesu FT??? set up at home but still have the ambition to get more involved again if I find the time.
