Only in assuming personal responsibility rests productivity, progress and peace. No one may know another's truth. Justice occasionally requires that one speaks one's own. The spirit of free speech is that we cherish dissent, learn and not condemn. Only in cases of violation of the laws that protect the individual's rights from infringements by others is blame justified and, at its best then, it is a gross, imperfect and necessary evil.
