In 2002 I built my first bike. It was a Special Construction (Harley) with a total Performance 121. A complete show bike but I rode it on the street all the time. I won a few "best of shows" and had a 7 page spread on HOT Bike magazine (I think it was Aug of 2002, could have been Sept issue, not sure). When you get a Harley you buy into a fraternity. There's a certain lifestyle aspect about riding that I enjoy but I certainly wouldn't say it defines me. For me the great fun was in planning and building.
