Pacific Ocean surface temperature readings that show we are in an El Niño event.

Hopefully this will promote frequent, light rain to break California's drought. They certainly need the rain. With the wildfire season they are also having, there will certainly be some mudslides no matter how hard it does or does not rain.

the last pic was actually a landslide that killed some people. it was partially blamed on the people who overwatered the grove of trees at the top of the pic

No need for Google. That's the developing El Nino - it has been on the Weather Channel more times than Joe Theisman has said, "Yes...but."

The next question or research that would be so interesting to find is - how does temperature rise effect the ionosphere. Is it

a) welcoming more solar rays to Earth

b) rejecting solar rays

c) no effect at all

d) that we are being fooled

It's a phenomenon that is easily misunderstood.

No cream with that cake, please. Some readers want to lose a bit of weight.
