Product quality is a result; system management is a method; usually the result is more important.

Neither/Either/Both

Neither is more important.

If Either is poor the company will fail.

Both are therefore important.

The Society for Mining Engineers know that their product quality is in the hands of the refinery.

I'm certain a Systems Management Enterprise will be baffled because their product is systems management. One cannot have one without the other.

The Soy Methyl Ester producers will consider proper system management as a way to achieve better product quality.

Why, what did you mean by your Seriously Meaningless Examination? The terms and undefined acronyms you've used imply a high level of misunderstanding. A valid answer can then be meaningless.

You Sometimes Multiply Everything into a paradox but they are very rarely meaningless answers.

{This is turning into a Surreal, Morphological, Existential challenge to find three word phrases that match the acronym.}

CRIMINAL

SME is Small to Medium Enterprise, and, is common enough "over here" not to need any explanation. But, that is exactly the problem with acronyms, ones that are well known in some places mean nothing in others.

But, officer, when I told him to torch the building, I meant just to shine a flashlight on it!

A torch is a required tools to inspect fuel tanks on BAe aircraft. I still laugh when I see that in their maintenance manuals

Neither CR4 as an entity nor CR4 subscribers as individuals hold sufficient data on <...SMe companies...> to give a statistically significant answer to that question.

A small to medium enterprise will not last long without quality of product. Many system managements can get you there.

Many system management schemes are terrible. The company puts out a quality product, but makes little money doing it. So the company will fail, even with a quality product.

The company with poor quality will fail almost immediately, in today's economy and level of competition.

A company with a quality product can, for a while at least, survive poor system management.

If I were to open up a McDonald's restaurant today, and have very poor quality of product, I doubt I would be open next week......even with superb system management.

A mom-and-pop hamburger restaurant with great quality, but poor system management, can hang on a lot longer than the Mc Donalds with poor quality. Many have hung on for many years.

Quality is the goal, is the destination of an righteous unit (many units snatching, indecent) (category 1)

Quality management system is a method to achieve the desired quality. (category 2)

Therefore, can not compare the two categories.

For example, you want to have one cake quality (category 1)

You must have a quality management system good (category 2). That is:

- Check (manager) inputs (flour, sugar, milk ...)

- Recruitment of workers (human resource management) make good bread.

- Store the raw materials (Materials management).

- Have a good oven (equipment manager)

.....

All combined into a your quality management system.

To learn more, you can look for the ISO 9001: 2008 (2015)
