Availability of Quay Gantry Crane Having Instrument Height Less Than 45m

07/09/2016 3:51 AM

I want to know: Is any quay gantry crane (QGC) of overall height(instrument height) less than 45m along with smaller outreach still available ?

I am interested about 1st generation panamax ship loading-unloading operation. However, from literature ,I came to know that large quay gantry cranes(QGC) are not economical for 1st generation panamax ship operation. And QGCs were smaller before year 2000. In this regard, I want find the most economical Quay Crane for a water-side container terminal.

Get real. Of course there are lots of QGCs with lesser heights and and smaller outreach. Most of them, no doubt.

1. Welcome to CR4. Interesting choice of identity.

2. The manufacturers of QGCs can answer your question better.

3. If you at least say where in the world you are (this is an international forum), some members here might be able to shed some light on which manufacturers are available in your area.

Thank you.

1. I was in a hurry to know the answer of the question, that is why I chose a name which came in front of my eye at that instant.

2. I have had sent mail to different QGC manufacturers, however, they did not respond to that.

3. I Live in Bangladesh (Asia), here in many container terminals, only 1st generation panamax ships are allowed to berth at port due to draft depth restriction. Using large cranes is not a good choice for us. I am doing a small research on it.

I shall be very happy If I find some help to go through this research. In this regard, your reply seemed very helpful to me. :)

Learn to Google!

SPANCO Gantry Cranes‎

In other words, contact crane suppliers.

Also, use the right tool. It's called a telephone. Ask to speak to Sales Engineers.
