Digital TV Freq's on VHF & UHF

11/01/2016 11:43 AM

I am setting up at a remote receive site in the Az mountains to receive the Diamond Point Translator.

To find the signals on my Service Monitor, I need the transmit freqs of channel 22 & 38.

I would like to also find a CAD program to show path loss over and through the mountains, that would show signal reliability overlaid on a TOPO map.

Thanks! Bruce

I did a quick search.

Did you try the FCC?, this is DTV, but this may give you a start, to get the digital graphic maps, you may have to go through another government agency to get the topographical area information. It all starts with the downloads from the USGS satellites.

and by the way, welcome.

As a guess, its more graphical.

I think he's looking for a signal strength over laid on a map.

You can Google those, Boss.

Anyway, most telly sets these days have an auto-tune facility to take the grief out of it for you. Give it a try.

I recently put a high gain antenna on my house. My wife had been complaining for some time that she only got one Vietnamese channel on cable. I found 3 over the air Viet channels. I went to site Usbport suggested. The transmitter is 76 air miles away. I used my military compass to aim the antenna. My TV has a menu option showing signal strength. I used this and the compass to fine tune the signal. At UC Riverside campus, they have a true to scale topographical map, this helped me a lot.

"...path loss over and through the mountains"

TV signals can't go through mountains, they're line of site. You need to give more information as to what you really meant.

Have you tried looking at TV reception maps?
