How's about titling your project

and you take it from there?

and don't EVEN get me started on your bad manners.

Feed-back would be nice also, so that we know that the OP at least looked at the efforts of our work.

And not-feedback in the form of another question such as this response given to the original answer to the original question:

"lyn, I knew deep down you were, deep down inside, a super person!

Otherwise I would have told you to "F... OFF" for being inconsiderate!

But here you are helping me out, WOW, I was right.

Thanks much, are there any links to CADs for this?"

Translation:

"Seeing as you may still be of some use to me, let's hold off on my telling you to f..k off for now, k? You know, so that I can milk you for more info meanwhile?"

ps: "Insofar as my thanking you at some point for your help, how's about we burn cross that bridge when we come to it. Deal?

Addendum: Thankfully most people aren't like that guy in your example.

They run the gamut from jerks who get flamed to really intelligent kids that are a pleasure to help.

Why would this be off topic?

There is an electrical problem which needs solving.

Along the general line of "Advise Me Please:" when you interview for a job, don't point anyone who is interviewing you to this thread.

When I was about 12 I was given an electricity set. It contained a bulb and holder, a bell, a buzzer, a Morse code key switch, a DC motor to take apart and assemble, a generator ditto, a wonderful shock generator controlled by the insertion of an iron core into the coil, and various other items, all 4.5 volt bell battery driven.

Why don't you update the concept, and design an up-to-date kit to impart the principles of electricity?

What project are you interested in having? Show some initiative and pick one...

Then give the forum the options from which the selection is to be made, please.

School project? How about a device that visually shows the right hand rule? Should not be all that difficult to build, a nice show-and-tell for the professors. If they like it, they can keep it as a learning tool for future students.

Yes make a hand, with the fingers curling in around the wire, and showing the thumb pointing in the direction of magnetic lines, and the index (or middle) finger pointing straight in the direction of force.

I wonder if a mechanical model could be made with a propeller rotating on a wire that was conducting power, with magnets or something on the propeller driven by the right hand rule force?

Don't know, but there should be a force on the magnet(s).
