Free Vibration of a Folded Plate

01/13/2017 11:23 AM

Hello there, Engineers

I'm calculating the natural frequencies of a cantilevered straight plate and a cantilevered folded plate using Galerkin-based finite elements analysis. I prepared a matlab code for the analysis. For the straight plate, I got satisfying results comparing to Ansys, but for the folded plate, there is some difference.

I'm looking for a help to rectify my results?.

Did you program in also the radius of curvature in the fold? Is there a difference of support for the flat plate vs. the folded plate?

Hi there, guys.

As you can see, I'm new to this forum and I'm looking for a way to attached a file related to my thread "Free Vibration of a Folded Plate". The file contains drawings and dimensions of the mentioned plate structures as well as Matlab and Ansys results.

Please, show me how to do so, if it is possible ?, just to make the thread well-detailed in order to get helpful responses from those interested in the topic.

Cheers

Set up the data on a web site (for example). The provide the link to the web site.

Or copy and paste images , etc.

You need to show the specific geometry. The first thing came to mind seeing the word "plate" is food.

Yeah, I am not stupid enough to open links that require some new download on the secured government internet where I am.

Good luck with that horse poop. We are talking about a folded paper plate, right?
