the General valve B4711 from Cameron is basic literature.

The only type of inspection you can do is a visual inspection.

Why are you inspecting it?

do you have a rebuilt kit? if you don't call a supplier about it.

We rebuild our own valves we use in our process plant.

I would imagine you have the Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manual, use this in conjunction with getting a rebuild kit.

A higher chance of an appropriate result may be had by contacting the equipment supplier directly, instead of via an intermediary. Here is the protocol:

GENERAL VALVE Four-Way Diverter IOM - Cameron

Call your supplier for a Repair kit, this would normally include all necessary consumables... May have to designate gasket material, EDPM, Silicon, ect....

See #4⇑. The original supplier has so many manuals that they are sending them out just to get rid of them.

Follow the link on post #6. and open the pdf. Don't mind the calling the vendor, I'm that can be done.

What I did for you, I'll do for our maintenance department all the time. After you get familiar with the manual, call your supplier.
