Lunar Eclipse this Friday Night

02/08/2017 8:06 PM

The full Moon will lose some of its usual lustre on Friday night as a dusky shadow creeps across the lunar disk. It's a penumbral lunar eclipse, visible from parts of every continent except Australia. The uneven dimming of the Moon will be easy to see if you know when to look. Visit Spaceweather.com for observing tips and more information.

Swell...another one to right off. I live in the lee of Lake Erie. I get to see these events about once every hundred years due to the lake effect clouds. I'll miss Rixter's comet as well.
