Spectroscopy system for 4000nm to 10000nm

08/14/2007 11:48 AM

Friends,

I am looking for optical absorption spectroscopy system for 4000nm to 10000nm range. If I can get 1000nm to 20,000nm then that will be a great thing.

Any idea where I can find such system and what is the likely cost to be invested.

I also need a proper light source, window material, and CCD spectrometer for this wavelength zone of 1000nm to 10000nm.

I am looking for molecular absorption spectra for large organic molecules that belong to Mid-IR and Deep-IR regions.

I will like to thank those will help me find the right equipment. I don't mind buying an used equipment as long as it is working.

I will also welcome the ideas to let me build one such system. I believe that only Pyroelectric elements can sense the IR in this wavelength. No other sensing mechanism is known to me. Do you know something better?
