Dear user,

hello i am working in a metal industries as a electrician,

right know i have a question please help it out ,

i do have a new three phase motor

voltage:400/690 VAC

Freq:60 Hz

mounted:foot with Flange B3 B5

ip 55

class F insulation.

the main purpose is writing this thread is ,

is it possible to make a impeller fan to the above motor specs for dust suction ,

Yes, though the proverbial cart is before the horse were one to do so.

The usual way to design things is to size the fan for the air flow and the pressure rise required, and then size and select the motor to fit it, followed by the electrical arrangements including cable sizing, motor overload equipment selection and cable protection co-ordination, in order to fulfil the fluid duty.

<...dust suction...>? Ready-built equipment may be found at most home improvement stores:

Generally it is possible to make and impeller fan above the motor specification but your motor will have a short life and the motor winding will damage as the torque of the motor are not enough to run your suction fan.

In general design of the impeller fan, the motor that drive the impeller fan are higher capacity than the impeller fan capacity. The differences, is to give some allowance to the motor since the motor itself have certain percentage of electrical losses not included all the dust that stuck at your impeller fan later on.

Any design over the motor capacity will not works. Some motor have extra safety factor but it doesn't means that you can use up all allowances available.
