A Pretty Wild Theory

03/14/2017 11:45 AM

radio telescopes pick up a lot of noise, even our best minds are not exactly sure what it all is or might be. could some of of it be ground bassed energy pulses to push spacecraft?

Well It COULD. But it could also be a naturally occurring phenomenon (Similar to this ). I want to find out anyway, though.

I like this quote:

"Loeb admits that this work is speculative. When asked whether he really believes that any fast radio bursts are due to aliens, he replied, "Science isn't a matter of belief, it's a matter of evidence. Deciding what’s likely ahead of time limits the possibilities. It's worth putting ideas out there and letting the data be the judge.”

Are they able to measure how far that signal is from us? How do they do that?

Jump in your car and trek to Greenbank, WV. Take the tour and they'll answer all your questions. It's quite "enlightening".

And while you're in the area visit Cass, WV and take a logging train ride!

Fun and learning in West "By God" Virginia.

I thought that the " best " minds were here on cr4, so I don't know if it's a good idea to discount them first.
